Mods are mods due to maturity, and it seems that a 16 year old is being more mature than you.
it seems that modship is granted to the best contributors to newgrounds society- that is not to say the longest posts, or the largest amounts of posts, but the posts with the best content- and they are also the people that the forum staff trust the most to do the right thing, ban where rules are broken, and answer intelligent questions. If it so happens that a child shows these qualities, why should their age prevent them from becoming a mod?
also, not all mods are forum mods- some are audio mods, some are portal mods, some are art mods and others are Icon mods- most of the kid moderators are the latter.

It doesn't manner what age a mod is, as long as they do their job right. If you have a problem, PM an admin, otherwise just deal with it.

I think the youngest mod ever was about 17, and there was a guy called absent who was audio modded at age 15, which is pretty damn young, but if you're mature enough you can accomplish great tasks at any given age.
