It's good, but somebody being fried by a laser isn't a sufficient punchline. Keep all of that idea, but add a different punchline at the end. The X-men idea is kind of lame. Because it seems like all people can think of is crossover ideas. Enough of that. One is enough.

I shall now think of another idea for drill kirby :P
However, I completly agree with you, and I aint myself too fond of those parts, so yeah ;)

You totally missed the sarcasm in my post apparently. Good job.
Bitch, I thought you knew?
So I'm not sure if I'm accepted back in the colab or not, but I figure I'll run with this animation anyways.
Just so you guys are assured that I am putting effort into this, here is what I have been working on:

I have to complete backgrounds first, then sketch in storyboards and rough animations. Music and details placed in where I see fit.

Hey, not bad. Just make sure your joke ends up being funny. Also, if you decide to change it then please avoid crossovers.
Well I think Im finished. Keep in mind I havent animated in almost a year, so I hope its to all of your likings.
So close to finishing, just need some sound effects and one voiceclip

Vintagebro's Bomb Kirby
Great art, but the animation is so stiff and boring. When kirby throws the bomb, the bomb rolls on the ground. You can't roll something overhand, it's physically impossible. And like somebody else said, there's too much tweening. More Frame by frame can make this simple skit more entertaining. It's good, but everything that's in motion looks so amatuer. I believe you can do better.

It's funny actually, you proved a point I was making to myself. You did the same thing that whoever did Cutter Kirby did. (A bit better though.) But with so much time, we all have plenty of work we can put in to improving our work.
And I just gotta say, I wish we could stop referring to what makes a cartoon funny with the words "joke" and "punchline." Those are very enclosed terms to use to describe what makes an animation funny. It's more of a combination of various elements, mixed together to produce surprising, ironic, shocking, etc. feelings in the viewer. It shouldn't always be observed in this, 1+2=funny view.

Alright for anyone who is having trouble getting some Kirby sound effects I have found a couple sources. The first one is a link for Kirby's superstar sound effects
Kirby Superstar (songs and sound effects)
For the sound effects you will have to download number 20 on the list.
Another Sound pack that I tracked down is from SSBB. You'll be sure to find some sounds you like from there.
Kirby SSBB
There are many other character sound bites but for Kirby just scroll down the list and download.
If anyone has any other sources for sound bites please feel free to add on. This took me roughly an hour to find these just from simple Google searches so I hope you have more luck then I did :D
Cheers

Thanks for that :)
Here's another great place for kirby music and such: http://www.kirbysrainbowresort.net/multi media/sounds/http://www.kirbysrainbowres ort.net/multimedia/sounds/

FlashFire, you know that Kirby/TF2 thing I showed you? If I finish Fire Kirby can I make an easter egg involving Engie Kirby? If you say no, that's fully understandable (In fact, this is kinda a stupid question XD)
I'm going out, so I'll probably be gone for anywhere between 2 to 5 days having a social life, so please don't miss me while I'm gone and not updating ;)
I'll leave you with this rough of the beginning scene: (And please, critiques aren't necessary, there's nothing to build your opinion on yet.)

For whenever you read this, can you maybe make the ground look a bit different? It's kinda ugly to me. :(

Well I think what doesn't agree with me about the rough is the ground. Although I don't think you should use a gradient for that area if you are going to use a gradient, try to know where you're light source is which is in the sky. The lightest part of the ground should be on the top then get darker as it goes down. Basically just flip your gradient colour upsidedown and see how that looks :P

:D
Still gotta work a lot on that glow...
You cant believe how hard it was to do somethin simple like that though D:
aanyways, ive got some exams coming up so I'll only resume part progress the 7th, sorry about incoveniences..... although I should still be kinda active and work occasionally on it ;)
Finished 3 seconds of animation. Slowly but surely, but damn, I think it looks pretty good. I need a BG though.

It's not 2 frames, its 3 :P

I was thinking about that too, but the only problem is it would end up looking less obvious that it is the shamwow guy, and that's sort of the joke. :P
Hey guys, just got back home after two days of being with family. And I'm ready to continue being an extrovert. Looks like I have quite a bit of previews to preview. I'll get right on that. I also have the game, Bioshock to finish and I intend to do that ASAP.
Wow, this is great. A lot of people are starting to make some good progress. I'm glad this is all working up to be what I hoped it was going to be so far. And so far, I haven't really seen any, 'horrible' parts that just wouldn't make the cut. Other than mine of course, and AUG's several attempts...oh and Harvey's...but besides the point, so far these are all great, and have that cartoony feel to them.

Looks good, but it looks too tweened to my liking. Still, the art is really nice.
Here's a fun fact, Kirby is actually a series of vacuum cleaners

Well it's kinda full. Sorry. Unless you are an experienced sprite animator that is.
