I'm Playing Timeshift (ps3)...

And I stopped playing it 2 days ago after getting to this snowy area. The disc was working fine, no scratchs I could tell because I hadn't even taken it OUT of the system yet. The system hasn't moved, been turned on, or even looked at for the Past 2 days. Now I'm playing the game again, except now, I can't hear gunshots or any weapons-related noise, and its pissing me off.

If anyone has experienced a similar problem with this game or any other game that's an FPS and/or found a solution, please share, I need a way to fix this because this copy isn't mine, it's my brother's.

It's possible the game sucks so bad it's damaging your PS3. But I've never played it, so I don't know. Did you install the latest system update?

That might have been it for all I know but the sound's working (for the moment) so I'll consider that for later if it happens again. Thanks though.

I haven't played that game, is it good? I was thinking about purchasing it at some point.

That's a bit of an exaggeration.

It isn't bad, but it's a mediocre FPS with a gimmick, released at a time when mediocre FPS games with gimmicks dominated the market (Haze, Turok, Unreal Tournament 3, etc).
