Cake, you say?? I'm in. You can become the bloodthirsty and power abusing overlords of the universe for all I care, as long as there is cake to be served. Wait, this isn't gonna end like Portal, is it?

I actually prefer Wi/Ht over the General Forum. I just wish it were more active.

You and Haggard are missing the big picture for them. It's a shame you two turn against them since if they were members of this site, I'm sure they'd be on our side.
Okay, I'll admit it! If the only types of music were Hanson and Manowar, I'd be a hard core Manowar fan. Happy now?!

That is a sick comparison.

Well, Futurama is back now so we better get to work on this. I'll be desperate to fly into space after watching more and more of the new season.

It's funny because darknessdweller made that threat a month before Sirtom lost it. If he said it after the Sirtom incident, I'm sure it would have been a completely different story and there I was threatening him with local authorities and such. It's hilarious in hindsight.

For those who want to know more about this, have a read. To this day, I still stand by everything I said from then.
Yeah, we all do. I wish that someone like me had been around then to take him aside and have a quiet word, followed by a gagging order.

We no longer have to worry about darknessdweller so I've put him behind me. Still, it's a point I like to bring on some occasions. As for the kid himself, he's been gone for a year now and according to Fro, he's actually still alive. Well, at least he's not bothering us anymore.

Well, gfox has hardly said anything ever since marriage.
To be fair, he hardly said anything before...

But now he's saying even less.

We don't always use quote chains, you know Gagsy. Sometimes, we use the epic monologue:

And so, the forces of the Where is / How to forum did march over to the infested lands of General. Their weapons were lowered in gestures of non-violence. As a twisted wretch launched itself at the group, Fro stepped forward smartly, connecting the butt of his rifle with what would normally be a chin, lifting it clear off the ground.

Replacing his pistol in the holster, Coop stepped forward and offered the hand of acceptance to a few users, willing to throw off the taint of memes, one liners and 1337. The sun peeked out from behind the clouds and was obscured momentarily, as Bahamut flew overhead, depositing aid packages of stats across the landscape.

A satellite user detached them self from Gagsy and ran towards the bountiful package, escorting it back to his mistress. Sitting in her bunker in no-man's land, she viewed the conflict with ambivalence, jealous of the ideals and organisation that was shown, but she was still very much at home in General. Wistfully, she cast her gaze skyward at the Lord of Dragons, who swooped and dived gracefully overhead.

As the crowds started to gather, another case, seeking dominance of the junk heap came running at Coop, with a rudimentary assault rifle. Swiftly, as Coop was talking with other individuals, he drew his gun and leveled the would be assassin with one neatly placed shot to the shoulder, forcing him to drop the gun. Soon afterwards, Auz and Haggard moved in to neutralise the wannabe.

"We can all make General a much better place to be - one user at a time. Start with yourselves and keep your own court to judge only yourself. Are you doing the best you can for Newgrounds? We seek not to rule you, but to help you rule yourselves. Go forth my children, my friends, my bretheren. Spread the word!" A cheer went up from the converts and the masses went forth to begin the clean up of General.

It has begun, my friends. Believe it.

The thing is, we're not trying to combine the two forums - segregation has a well formed purpose here. To enable people looking for help to actually find it. These threads move downwards slowly, so the advisors come along and see questions that they can answer, so they do.

Maybe that would put an end to "LOL shud i sleep with mah sistar?" threads.

I'm trying to, but it really is a mountain of turds to deal with one piece at a time.

To bring a wave of change, revolution to the masses. To show that there can be change in the way a conversation can be carried out in this Forum. Not every thread has to be met with insults, one liners, and just general plus one shit, but a can have some substance and be fun and enlightening. And if this thread can do it, then there can be a new wave of reform in this forum for everyone to enjoy.

Not to mention to expand out of the LUL, since it's a little cramped there.

Lame-ass parody threads. :/ I just wish that kids will know to be careful with their words. Conspiracy to commit murder or assault means, in most states, you can be tried as an adult. They might think it's funny, but there are consequences to everything you say. I'm pretty sure you remember, the one time there were comments and threats regarding the President and the Secret Service had to contact them and Wade.

Everybody is liable to what they say whether they believe it or not, especially on an open forum.

I think it goes with the philosophy that users need to lurk more. Then maybe they will see which threads have been beaten to death and in what areas new and original topics should be created. I mean even just looking past page one of General to see if a topic has already created would save a lot of trouble in creating duplicate threads.

It's so the Wi/Ht? users can use another place to dump their stupidly long convos.

The Internet is not a place where you dump something on. It's a series of tubes!

Actually, I find Opera to be more useful for blocking popups. I can't remember how I did it but I did a bit of research and it can block EVERYTHING! It's basically what Firefox should have been in 2004!

F12 -> Block all Pop-Ups maybe?
I have it set to "Block all unwanted Pop-Ups" and it's working pretty well.

Opera seems to be performing better now - I don't know why, but I'm just glad it is :P

It's because Opera is the best browser. gfox uses it as well. If he's browsing the internet at all these days, that is.

If it's bumped I feel someone needs to 'defend' General.

Alas, I tried before not posting in here before. I guess I have idle hands.

And despite appearances, post count is the most worthless 'stat' imo. I'm here to post not to tally up the number.

But come on if no one bumped it every few weeks, it'll be long dead by now. If this is a war Coop, the only ones you'd be winning over are your own troops >:C

But as far as I'm concerned, this thread isn't an 'attack' on General, per se. Despite the thread title and the whole revolution thing (which I tend to see as metaphorical), the way I look at this thread is as an ambassador for the Wi/Ht? regulars and the way our smaller community works, which is vastly different to General.

Obviously there's never going to be a mass takeover of any NG forum; that would be ridiculous, especially considering how small the other forums are in comparison to General. As such, there's no real defense required... in my opinion anyway. I see other General nooblets getting all offended by this thread and it honestly makes me laugh.

I just mildly annoyed when I see some Wi/Hters acting as if they really are winning something. Or maybe I'm just overeading when I'm tired. I don't dislike Wi/Ht at all.

It's like General is strawberry jelly and Wi/Ht is chips. Both are yummy and nice, but together? Just doesn't go well.

Actually, Gagsy IS a lady dragon. However, I don't think she's interested in me anymore. She's been cheating on me recently. I thought we were meant to be.

I believe dragons can live for thousands of years.
Damn, this means that by virtue of living a shitload longer than me, you'll eventually pass me for experience. Vert theory.

It sucks but what can you do?

Sounds like a plan. Do you want me to scare David Cameron and his partner out of number 10?
Cameron and Clegg, or Dave and SamCam? Fuck it, just scare them all away.

Cameron and Clegg ARE partners, so yes, I'll chase them out. Well, everyone in the parliament as you requested.

There are two words in that sentence you can remove. I'll give you a big clue, they're 'around' and 'with'.

I still don't believe you. :'(

Lame-ass parody threads. :/

Actually, no, some of them were different threats altogether.

They might think it's funny, but there are consequences to everything you say. I'm pretty sure you remember, the one time there were comments and threats regarding the President and the Secret Service had to contact them and Wade.

Yes, I remember that very well. It's happened then and it could happen again if some people aren't careful enough but I sure hope that won't be necessary.

Damn. But at least some Wi/Hters have golden Auras and have acces to the mod forum. And with Timmy's support, you may even be part of the staff one day. ;)

WHY?! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?! Why are some of you insisting this? I am not worthy!

You see, this is why I can't appreciate you enough.
You should, though. For sticking to my opinions, no matter if you are threatening me with a Mega Flare. :P

Well, I'll do just that so prepare yourself.

Manowar would have been behind our backs all the way if they were fans of Newgrounds and you'd only bring us down when they see you and laugh.
First of all I really don't like the thought of Manowar being behind my back (Faggard says, it's what he dreams of every night. Eww.)

Homophobe. :P

I never confused to rule and to suck in the first place.
You did and you continue to do so.

Nope, there was never a confusion in the first place.

I'm pretty sure you're meant DragonForce.

Of course not but whatever.

And that's what DragonForce have done as well. As for Running Wild, I sure hope you're only talking about the last few albums which I heard weren't very good.

It is and we wish for more Wi/Ht?'ers to post here more often. It makes the General forum a better place. We'll find interesting threads and we shall post in them such as this one about dragons.

I love the fact that more Wi/Ht? forum regs are starting to post more in General. A while ago (before Coop was modded mainly) it was pratty much only me who would post in both General and Wi/Ht, but now all you guys are venturing here a lot more often. It's nice to see the divide being broken down.

Here's my two cents. Who cares? Post here if you want, don't post here if you don't want to, it doesn't matter and no one is going to give any of you recognition for venturing outside Wi/Ht.

Do what you want and don't make a big deal out of it.

I understand completely this thread was a joke thread and at first it was funny, but it has developed into more for some unknown reason. I wish you guys would most here more often not because your wi/ht'ers, but because the more, the merrier.

I feel as if General is looked at as the ghetto instead of another NG sub forum.
