That is an old forum from the days before user page blogs and the Artist News box on the front page. We're eventually gonna move those announcements into General and delete that forum altogether.

I'm loving the new additions and they will benefit current and future artist alike. I really am eager to see what comes out of it especially the Writing Forum.

Though I really disliking how the Wi/Ht? is way at the bottom. I mean it's already hard enough to get user to post questions there when it was the second from the top, now it will basically impossible with it at the bottom. New users are usually lost or lazy and they will go to the first forum they see. I guess time will tell but I'm a little apprehensive.

I don't know if this is even worth mentioning, but there's a little trick that allows you to view the names of other peoples files on dumping grounds.

When you click Edit File, you can just change the last 4 numbers on the address bar to see random file names.

NG CHAT is nearing mythological status. Up there with Succubus, Cyclops, Unicorns and Penicorns.

While I think splitting the flash forum into flash / animation / collabs is a nice move and will keep things more organized, I am kind of let down there is no forum for discussing finished products that are already on the site. I know Where is/How to is supposed to cover this, but currently the only real discussion of games that happens there is the medal thread, which right now is just over 12,000 posts.

I think a new forum where each submission has its own thread (but only if someone chooses to make one) would be a nice addition, allowing more in depth and organized discussion of certain games, and being a place for lesser known artists to plug their work.

So when's that edit button coming... :\

Looks like all of this happened while I was gone. The Writing forum is something long overdue around here. Guess I'll wait for the portal next, whenever it shows up.

This has been on my mind for a long time too... The fact that we have popular forums that aren't talking about anything on the site... I don't want to get too trigger happy but I'll be keeping it in mind as we move forward!
