I don't get it. Why do hackers get such a huge chubby off of making a virus of some sort and sending it out to ruin people's computers? There's a new virus out nearly every month. Now this might sound a little silly, but virus programs are NOT hard to write at all. If they were, there wouldn't be so many of them coming out so often. Most viruses don't even do much more than force your computer to do so many tasks at once that it crashes. That doesn't even take any real programming skill at all. Nearly every computer language in the world can give commands to a computer that would cause it to crash. The code is not hard to learn or write in the least bit. Give me any type of code and either a book or access to the internet in the morning, and I'll have you a virus by the afternoon. People who send out viruses are no different from those assholes who get 4 or 5 of their buddies together to go beat up someone they just don't like. It doesn't take any skill or talent at all. Yet somehow these guys get a huge chubby off of the whole thing, like they made a difference in the world.
The reason I don't throw code together and bug up other people's computers all day is because it's so blatently easy to do. There's no purpose, no reason to do it. Tons of people have done it before, and it really doesn't reap any tangible rewards for me. It's not even like a "revenge of the nerds" scenario, because most viruses hit tons of innocent people. It's just mindless all around.
