For those of you who haven't noticed, we've put an extra little section into the left hand column of the front page, which showcases the last 5 entries to have been submitted to the Portal and to have "passed Judgement". The links are listed chronologically and are designed to give new entries extra exposure, so authors get maximised feedback on their new material. We've more updates planned, so stay tuned! :)

Cool addition! Not that I look at the front page much, but that is definitely a good idea and looks great!
Any plans (once everything's passed 200) to showcase some classic underexposed flash, something like what you've added to the front page then that shows 5 flash daily with a score above 3 (or whatever) and views below 5,000 (or whatever)?

am i the only one that cant see it? i looked everywere and i dont see anything called showcase
i think it's a nice improvement bcuz now a user can go directly to the latest flashes right on the1st page without going through the portal. It's 1 click less. That's very cool liljim. Keep on!

Wonderful Idea! Are there plans to feature anything else in the same way as these?
You Should do another list below it of the 5 movies in the "under 200 votes" list that are clostest to 200 votes. It would make that list dissapear a lot faster.
That's pretty cool.. it'll probably be awesome when a new movie by a popular artist comes in.. it'll give people a chance to see it without going to the portal. :o) A great improvement!

Another great improvement. Heres an idea: in the games section, add a little list of the last 5 games submitted to the portal(and passed judgement)

That's probably the best update in recent time. Great idea. Now every flash artist have a chance to be on a front page for a 10 minutes :)
You should also put a "Todays Top 5 Portal Submissions" on the front page.
I think that is a great idea, getting people the maximized attention will definitely get a lot more people to submit! Great Idea!

I'd make it flashier, and have a link right on it to the portal, saying like, hundreds more here! (even though there is a portal link a few inches away, but people are dumb what can you do?)or something. really cool new feature!

Yes. Sorry, I overlooked this earlier. But there are plans (that have yet to take effect) to dig out more and more classic flash entries and put them on the front page regularly. :)
you know what there should be liljim? on the NG news topics.. there should be a counter that says how many replies and views there are on the topic on the top of the page.. like it is on all the other threads
