Hi, just a heads up, I think most (90% of) medals we delete are from games that don't work or are medals that don't work. Old games are posted in the broken medal game list that we missed, new games we find without help that don't work shouldn't be a problem to people :].
Generally there isn't a 'type of game' that gets deleted. It's when a medal doesn't work or when it's 50+ points for a trivial task.
I notice there's this one Donkey Kong game some people have medals for, but if you click to go to the game you get an Angry Faic page telling you the game no longer exists. I believe the game was pulled because it was too blatant a copy of Donkey Kong?
Well obviously none of those medals are obtainable by anyone who doesn't already have them. It seems like a game like that should be first on the chopping block for removing medals since you literally get an Angry Faic error page and there's no possible way to play the game or earn the medals.
I'm glad you mentioned that issue.
If you check my earlier posts in broken medals thread you will notice that I posted information about many games like these. There are 3 categories of them: games removed by authors, games removed by Moderators and a weird type, when you get info that the game has been deleted. It is probably because it was not made unable to access from NG, but completely removed from NG. For some reason in these 3 cases the system did not remove the medals as well.
I remember that when I started posting info about these games, @Nijsse removed 2 or 3 sets of medals like these, but for some reason stopped after a very short time and I am very curious why?
I was always saying that those medals should be removed because they are building an unfair advantage for players that are longer on Newgrounds.
