Thanks man, means a lot coming from you. I don't understand how I missed the whole sketch thing, I usually check for that kind of stuff :(

Also, I made the scale thing because the creature really looks like it could be any size. Sometimes you can tell about how big something might be by just looking at it, but this creature looks like it could be tiny, and it could be huge :)

Here is my entry, I don't have a name for it but I guess it's a sort of snow spirit that creates blizzards..

Meh..
It flies out of the icy cold waters, then droplets of water sprinkle of it's body making snow. It flies through the air much like it swims in the water.

yaha, finito.
so here it is, it has smaller trunk than in the wip and has feet now, which makes it less like an elephant and more like a tapir....

The snow creator lives on the rock tablelands of the north. In absence of precipation the many geothermal springs offer the sole source of moisture for this creature. Like camels it has developed the ability to store moisture in the layers of fat, which also isolate the creature from the extreme temperatures it lives in. The mosses it feeds on are the sole vegetation capable of surviving the low temperatures of these barren regions.

Having no other means of defense from predators, the snow creator shoots a fine vapour from the nine holes on it's back when in danger. In the cold atmosphere this vapour immediately deposits into a dense snow granting the snow creator a means of escape.

I don't really want people to create spirits/deities, but I forgot to mention it in the rules, so I'll let it fly this time.

Pretty rad drawing.

Kinda plain, but still cool. Is that a bridge in the bg, btw?

He's cute :3

I really like the concept. Nice, detailed description.

The drawing is also pretty nice. If I were you, I'd make the texture on the fella a bit less subtle, though :)

Aww.. What a sweet critter.. Really nice picture. Pehaps a bit too anima-like, but your description counters that problem pretty well..

Thanks dude, you two monarch.
I agree, it is really cartoonish, although that wasn't intentional, it does make it a lot easier to draw. I could try to draw realistic (and I have tried before) but then I get something that is neither really realistic, nor cool. I guess I should practice but whatever.

Just a little note on my own reply, I meant ANIMAL-like.. Not to be confused with anime, heh.. Sorry sorry sorry.. I really should double check my spelling some more.

Be sure to PM me your ideas for future themes, everyone. I've got like one or two ideas, but that's it.

Also, J-qb, I just noticed, did you do that scale thing with a toilet? Lmao.

Here's my entry. Named Dementos, and it shoots snow generated in its body from the organs on its head and shoulders. Has very muscular front claws and a beetle-like backside. Its eyes are designed so it can see in front and to its sides, like a chameleon.

...And the Lol! is there for added.. effect.. -.-;

Allrigth.. So I realise that I have been guilty in rushing my picture too much.. I don't wan't that hanging over my head so I added a bit to my entry. If that is cheating then just jugde on the first one. I am still trying to learn how to use flash and I thougth this one was a good one for exerimenting with some effects. Pehaps I effect raped it a little bit, but yeah.. I felt like it :)
Allso check out the bottom right corner, there you have the reason why he is so "pissed off"

bad joke.. sorry.. :P

Looks a lot better now, and no, it's not cheating. Keep adding to your entry all week, for all I care ;) I'm just gonna use the last picture someone submits as long as they say otherwise.

Lol at yellow snow.

DooDooMeaT, that looks awesome. A description would be great.

Looks great, but how do they create snow? Maybe it just fals out of their fur when he scratches it? (I guess dandruff could be called snow)

"Nicanes"
Their closest relatives are the arctic wolves. They store Liquid Nitrogin in their chests, which they can unleash in a beam, that freezes everything it touches. Since Nitrogen is only liquid from -210C and up, much of it vapors before it hits the target. The vapored gasses, are still extremely cold, and triggers snow when it comes in contact with the clouds above the Nicane. They mainly feed on fish, which they catch with their beams. They only get up on two legs when they are scouting for predators, or when they are about to launch an attack.

Not as detailed as my usual COWs, but I wanted to make sure it was done by tonight. They were a lot of fun to make :D

Fliggins
These little guys live at the very south-most point in the world, Antarctica. After they were discovered by a research group, greedy fur merchants tried to exploit the nervous Fliggins' thick fur in the black market. Unfortunately for the merchants, Fliggins suffer from an abnormally high amount of dandruff making their fur worthless.

In the sub-zero temperatures of Antarctica, dandruff from a Fliggin will instantly freeze once it hits air. Due to the high volume of dandruff produced by a Fliggin, the creature will often be seen quivering with bloodshot eyes due to the constant, irritating itch. Snow and their dandruff are very much alike, and for all we know, "snow" as we know it may not be snow at all, but the dead skin of Antarctic creatures. A quite disturbing idea.
