To be honest dude, I find that some of the best pictures are 1 of the following:
1) Hand drawn, scanned in, colored, and whatever else
2) Use some professional editing thing. (IE: PSP, Paint Shop, Bryce, etc)

Overall, I think I'd give you a 5.8.
Basics are good, but you need perspective on some.
Shadowing is relatively easy and quick to give some things depth, as well. If you want to do the perspective points of view, adding a little shadow might help.
Basics, people, basics.
Start with a basic figure, then start adding detail.
