To respond to the front page. I dont care about this new addition, for starters i never buy anything online, ever. And it dosent take up horrible amounts of room or become unsightly on the pages that it is visible. And who knows eventually it might catch on with more people.

Ah, but if I visited Newgrounds without a pop-up blocker, I'd spend an awful lot less time here, so it's swings and roundabouts. There's a reason why people use pop-up blockers (or Firebird for that matter) - it's because pop-ups are incredibly annoying.

Either one is free for the download and can easily get rid of the ad problems.

the whole topic brings me back to a conversation i had with a friend about newgrounds. even though there are ads...and pop ups, newgrounds is a part of many of our lives, even if you've never amde a submission, anyone whos watched a movie, or played a game, is part of newgrounds. you may think twice before sending a link to a less then completely open minded friend when you think about how that porn pop up may apear but its a small price to pay for our beloved newgrounds.
more on the topic of pop ups, i have no pop up stopper for
1: many don't work at all, and its a waste of my time to download them
2: pop ups really aren't THAT annoying as some other "Freeloader said", its really only the pop ups that come FROM porn sites(as aposed to those for porn sites), which will continually spawn more pop ups, BUT when i get into that situation i simply hit the standby button on my cable modem, which drops my connection, then i close all ads that would normally made more, then any adz that do open don't load, after everything is gone i can turn my modem back on and continue my viewing pleasure...
so when push comes to shove, a few ads is not a big consern for me, as long as i get to come and enjoy the internet Heaven which is Newgrounds...
BTW: i've been a loyal user of newgrounds for many years now, i think it might have been 5...not really sure, i remember all the oldies though...

Actually, I think since the ads pretty much stay the same, and since NG is such a HUGELY popular site, advertisers just pay directly to have their stuff on NG, and it doesn't depend on impressions.
