It doesn't matter how low a flash's score gets, it won't be deleted because of it. Those authors got deleting for breaking rules and/or pissing off admins with their proxies and alts. What he means is, if a passed flash looks like it might be going for TOTW (clearest sign is an extremely provocative title), you may wish to reconsider voting zero on it, at least until that week's awards are decided, so they don't get more exposure and attention.

I think that what has been pointed out here is that people need to vote more what they feel the flash deserves, as opposed to what they think it is going to get (i.e. it's going to pass, vote 5 on this just to make sure; it's going to be blammed, vote 0)

You've got to use all of the buttons if you're being a regular Portal user, otherwise, you won't give all flash the benefit of your broad opinions.
