Anyway, I have been trying to update my website over the past few days. Been making slow progress. I decided that my old back ground was pretty bland. So I kept the color scheme.... sort of, and added a little flair to it....
The old one was just a blue gradient.
I should get some more life drawing up there, some more 3D as well.... and a new demo reel would probably be a smart idea too....

Just trying to keep the creative juices flowing. I found that spiral thingy that I did yesterday kind of cool. So I wanted to play with them some more. So I made two more art brushed in Illustrator, and then made some circles, flipped them around, Changed size, and just more or less goofed with them.
They aren't complicated to make, or very complicated at all to be honest, but some of them come out looking pretty cool, even with out effort.
So Although I can see how I could use this technique in later projects, or by building on them for some cool designs, as a stand alone, they are just something to just get me to say "Cool"

Yeah, It's pretty much done, I open it up every couple of days and play with it. It lacks a proper map though. I'm not just about to experiment with something though.
Also, Now that I have some tighter grasps on some better rendering techniques I'll get a decent render of it here in a day or two. Perhaps I should do a quick environment for it too...

I have been working on quite a bit of life drawing from photos lately.
Sadly Photos is the only thing I really have access to at the moment, So it'll have to do.
With this one, I am truly not fond of it.The right side of the back seems too lack luster. The hands annoy me, The hair sucks some serious balls, I'm kind of ok with the left hip..... sort of....

Anyway, my old D&D character, Notch, Got killed. So I made a new one... A hammer Swinging, Axe Chucking BADASS WOO!
I haven't come up with a name for him yet though....
ok here is the last one I'm going to post.
I was working on trying portraits again, this time a very dear friend of mine.... I won't say who, because if she found out about me drawing her from a photo I'm not even sure she knows I have, and then posting it, lets just say me leveling up in 37 days will be the least of my worries.... o.o....
I have to admit though, I really enjoy her face structure.... Now if that doesn't make me sound like some creepy stalker..... It reminds me of some of the structures of the models used in alot of the old masters paintings.
lol, maybe its my love of art and her structure is why I like her so much :P
I really wish she would allow me to study her in depth.... well... her face and head that is.... and let me get some really good reference photos.... Ahh well....
As for the art piece. This shows I still need quite a bit of practice to really capture someone's look. Although I am pleased with the result, I wish I was, and it was, good enough that I could show it to her and impress her....
