Thanks ReNae
I owe you one
and hopefully I'll get some new art up very soon
wohoo!!!! yay!!!! mmm I hope that spammer got what he deserved

I recommended you for the art portal :D
as a shameless attempt at self promotion and to try and bring some folks to my old art thread, I am here to point out, I have actually made a image for my sig o.0
dun, du, duh!!!!!!!!!!!!
and so it looks like I actually do art, a production render from the camarro I did it's also the car in the sig :P
There was some fungus growing in the corner but it wasn't half as bad as chasing the spiders out. Other than that the place hasn't changed much though lol.
too bad I have some finals over the next few weeks, it'll be hard to get much new work up.
wow, I probably shouldn't get on NG while in class, my home work is distraction me from the more important things in life.
anyway I was rendering somethings for my portfolio, and I rendered this out I did it a couple weeks ago for an environment for an animation. the animation I finished as well, but it kind of sucks like a 2 dollar whore with asthma. I'll probably burn the hard drive it's on after the class is over in which I had to do it. although the class assured me of one thing, I hate working with partners.
Anyway enough with my rant over my crappy work. here is my hallway. I know it's not the best, but I'm not as good with Maya as I am with Max, but I make no excuses.

Oxygen room.... or a grow op?
you know, I have never really that good at graphic design or coming up with symbols or anything like that. I guess it is just not one of my strong points. Although I guess if I say that then I gotta practice.
So here is something I just did up. took about a hour, mostly creating the helmet, which BTW I did use reference, but it still kind of came out bad
Reference Link Thingy
So any pointers would be nice.
I used illustrator since I really need to get better at it, and sadly nothing here is hand draw (one of my more stronger points.)
so yeah guys fire away at it let me know what and where I went wrong
something new I'm working on,
It's a walker style mech for some practice in modeling and rigging,
I still have a lot I want to do to it, but I thought I would post it up and see if any one had any comments, I know you guys hardly even look at my thread but eh, who knows I might get a lucky hit.
so far the only weapon I have even started to even make look right is the S.A.M on it's sides, I wanna do some MG turrets on it but I don't know where I would put them, so please help out with suggestions. and I know it only has one leg at this tyime, but I wanna finish detailing it before I try and duplicate it.
time spent on it so far, about 6 hours
Btw I am also looking for a name for this machine, so I open it up to the Art Forum, So, What should I call it guys?
Welcome the "Insert Name Here" MK II
Well oter than some detailing I have pretty much completed the Mini Gun for my Mech, but I still don't know where I should put it.
I considered down by the hips ad legs of the machine, but I think it might come off as a shlong, this damn thing is going in to my demo reel folks, so sadly no cocks.

Shoulder mounted mini-guns always work. Or if it's attached to his arm so he can direct it with his fist.

Holy, hell >.>...visitors.... must of gotten lost while looking for the good art work, damn tourist, lol j/k
at least some one commented
Sadly this Walker has no arms so thats out. I also considered some shoulder mounts but I wasn't sure if it would look good,
I'll do a quick render and see how it looks.

i never liked the idea of paying for air, but if this is wut it looks like, i wouldn't mind paying at all! Great work on the 3d designs! I look forward to my own classes of designing. I barely started intro to graphic arts and i love the class!

Ahh, AILA.
not a bad choice, although expensive, you get really good training.

Yea, i plan to go to AILA after ELAC. Are you attending somewhere? So far in my class we have just been learning the ropes with "AI." I just turned in my first project and i also submited it to my art page.

Actually I'm going to the Phoenix In Arizona. I graduate at the end of the quarter to be completely honest.
I like that Band pic, it's not bad. seems a little cramped though, atleast you knew to put the minor white halo around some of the over lapping pieces. I don't know how many pieces that I come across and you can't see anything in them.
I stl want to do some more with the legs, but I think this is a wonderful base, sadly unwrapping this thing will be a bitch.
Maybe the UV pack will be nice and unwrap it nicely for me or something.
>.>...I should just sucker some one in to doing it for me.
Anyway, any comments or critique is welcome and appreciated
while I was waiting a few minuets ago I did something of interest...
aw who am I kidding, I was goofing around trying to practice in illustrator
Thoughts?
it was done in only a few minuets, but damn I should have actually done some details
