Also I have a beamer to watch movies on a screen in my house, but when I connect my PS3 to my beamer
I have no sound.
There's no input for sound on my beamer nor on my PS3. But do I have sound when I connect it with a HDMI Cable?

First of all, HDMI cables are way cheaper than 30 EU. You just have to shop online. On monoprice, you can get an HDMI cable for $5.00-$10.00. There is no difference in quality between the ones going for cheap and the ones being sold at retailers at extravagantly overpriced prices. Secondly, HDMI cables allow for 1080P. There are some component cables that can output in 1080P, but most do not. All HDMI cables allow for 1080P.

I don't really know anything about beamers. HDMI cables can transmit both video and sound though.

HDMI is soooo much better than a scart lead. I got mine for £10 from HMV and it's great. I've seen some in TV shops that are upwards of £60 which is ridiculous because the difference of quality with a more expensive one at full HD is barely, if at all noticeable.

its only not worth it if your stupid enough to buy the Sony HDMI cable... you can find them 70% cheaper as no name brands.

H-A-X-O-R-Z is right. HDMI cables only work on Hi-Defenition TV's with HDMI ports. You can get a nice HDTV for about 300 Euros. Pretty good price, if you ask me.
