Recently there was a rumour of a writing collab that may of included people like Sarai and Mast3rmind. Due to rules however, it wasn't allowed to be posted on the BBS which put off a lot of people. While it's true that the writing forum may just consist of idiots with poor stories, the same fears existed with the art forum; then the art forum was made and it turned out fine.

You could always start a tally of the nominations now (say for the first 4-5 complete pages of nominations), and then just update it in a few days time, then at the end of the week. Might be a bit easier that way.

Since YouTube has a higher rate of idiots then most sites it's easy to understand why NG is this way.

Well, I wanna have a go at it all at once for one reason in particular*: It's easier to catch alts that way. I plan to do a coarse run through the nom thread after it gets locked and find the obvious ones, but sometimes they aren't apparent until you comb through it finely and notice that 4 people had very similar voting patterns. Then you can compare sign ups and post counts and give them the actual screening. If I break it all up into chunks I might forget a trend.

Plus I'm more likely to get it done if I just do it in one fell swoop. That's just me though.
