Hardware Question Posted May 5th, 2009 in Programming

Okay Guys, I have a question I'm hoping you can answer =D

Which of the three is the best, processor speed.

A Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz
A Pentium D 2.8 Ghz
orrr
A 1.7 Core 2 Duo @ 1.7Ghz

I know the Core2Duo is the newest of the three, but I was wondering which is the fastest and second fastest? Thanks =D

Freaking Amazing movie. I loved the ending, how he sees how life's changed while he was in prison, and the new age of gangsters. Russel Crowe did a fantastic job!

Response to: google adsense Posted January 19th, 2009 in Programming

I'm pretty sure that when your in your google account, setting up your adsense ads, before they give you the javascript code to insert on your page, there's a small area to describe your website, or tell them what its about, and that's how the ads are relevant to your content.

On their website they state "AdSense for content automatically crawls the content of your pages and delivers text and image ads that are relevant to your audience and your site content." so it might be that your content is unrecognizable to the engine. Try hitting them up with an email.

1. Links a 404 because you have .yes at the end.
2. I'm pretty sure that is actionscript, (http://fc91.deviantart.com/fs41/f/2009/

3. All flash related topics belong in the flash forum

Response to: PC running slowly. Posted January 19th, 2009 in Programming

Format and Re-Install is your best bet, I'm not sure if this would help, but with Windows Defender, you have the ability to go into the start up programs list, remove any programs that will slow down your computers performance. I used to do this to help my start up become a bit better on my old computer. Just remove stuff that you do not necessarily want to run right away (anti virus, messenger, daemon tools, whatever you don't use as soon as you start up)

Easy on the caps. Were not all yelling.

Anyways, it sounds pretty interesting. The Sims games are usually pretty fun, the movie sounds interesting. I wonder what the plot lines gonna be like, or the graphics haha, it would be pretty jokes if you just watch a screen of some guy playing with commentary

Hardly, unless you plan on recreating youtube.

If you have good traffic, like around 1000 guests per day, what specs would you be looking at? I always thought that you needed something relatively new (duel core or newer) to run a website off your computer?

Its pretty good quality for me, on a 37" 1080p. Got it on boxing day, watched the new Bond a few days ago.

User systems are very easy in php, check out php main and see, there's some tutorials on it. It's best to learn though, so you can modify it yourself.

Easier said than done for him. If your looking into how to set up a basic members system Spamburger wrote a simple one a while back, it includes validation.

Check both out, they'll get you started using members systems, databases, queries, ect

Would you rather anti-virus software that didnt update its database? The thing that annoys you is what protects you to some extent :)

Good point, but the problem is a bit more specific than I described. For me it updates as soon as I log into my account on Win Xp. Unfortunatly I'm running an older computer, and even though I try as hard as I can, I still have 5-6 programs running on startup in my toolbar, which laggs quite a bit. I just don't turn off my computer anymore, problem fixed =p

AVG Free is doing me pretty well right now. I download alot of applications that seem sketchy, and AVG is able to recognize which ones are malicious. The only thing I don't really like about it is the daily updates. Because its just irritating sometimes, but other than that its great.
