Tower in the Clouds

Day 13: Ancient, mystical, and all parts mysterious: a tower that stretches endlessly into the sky, far past the clouds. What was it built for, and who - or what - remains inside?

Something a bit more light and airy this time, with a somewhat angelic quality to it. I started with a more rhythmic piece but got drawn to a more ethereal feeling with the chord progression I chose. The hang drum is a remnant of the old idea, but I've been itching to use it in a track. I also finally got Spitfire's oboe to cooperate with me in a mixing sense, so that's success enough for today! This took somewhere between 5-6 hours I believe, which is about the average for these tracks. Some go a bit longer and a sparse few have been shorter. It depends on how frazzled my brain is when I start!

Hope you enjoy!

This gives me old RPG vibes, very nostalgic and alluring melody. Great job!

Okay, it's official, I'm gonna have to listen to all of your work as soon as possible. :)

Haha, super appreciate it! I'm sorry to say that the well runs dry pretty quick, but I'm always hoping to be better about it each year that I keep doing this!

Great job on this! I enjoy how the harp motif mainly stays constant throughout the piece, while different layers come and go. The hang drum is also a pretty unique instrument, so it's really cool to see it used here!
