really like how emotion is conveyed in the beginning, the song wants to be happy but sounds just sad enough to leave you conflicted. Definitely how I feel around Christmas these days

Day 3: I started writing this as a piano/cello duet, but since I have zero self-control I added a bunch of extra instruments that caused the piece to take a lot longer to finish. I enjoyed putting this one together, and I imagined it vaguely like Flamesgrace from Octopath Traveler (absolutely amazing music). It's a little less video game-y in vibe but it still loops anyways.

I totally get the vibe you mean, the sort of nostalgia where you're pining for years gone by (at least in my case). I think warmth in music comes with more sadness mixed in with the happiness as the years go on.
