I remember being on a mountain trip and while walking through a forest seeing light shining on forest's undergrowth in a particularly picturesque way, though nobody else who participated in that trip appreciated that view...

Forests have kind of a relaxing effect on me, while also giving space for reflections. It is the silence of wind and chirps, the smell of cold, fresh air and the sight of pure nature that clears your mind without actually replacing your thoughts. Well, it is on the same trip, in an earlier part of the forest, that I got the initial idea for Sea Cave (my first song).

This is an even older song than Tension, as I've started working on it over two years ago, and I actually started it on Music Studio 2, though shortly after releasing Skyscraper I've transferred it over to the current DAW, where most of it was composed. I rarely opened the project, as I've begun to focus on Caustic, though I sometimes did some interesting additions. I experimented a bit with the new VSTis I got with my new MIDI controller and did kind of a cool "melody" using a pitch wheel. I even wanted to record myself playing guitar, though I eventually gave up and just drew the melody in the piano roll. Recently I realized, that the song was pretty much done and could just release it, so here it is.

It's been a while since I released a song made in a desktop DAW... I hope I'll be able to make more of these when I get a laptop.
