Mother Machine 8 : The Fallen

Track 9

2020

-

(Original Message) Sometimes things are easy and other times they are not. Just when you succeed at something, you fail at something else. When life seems too good to be true, something goes wrong. When we try to exert too much control, things slip from our grasp and we become stressed and unhappy. Seek the approval of others and you become their slave. Return to your true nature and flow from one thing to the next as they come.

-

Mother Machine 8 Story - Mother Machine desired an end to the cycle of fear and hate. She didn't need to try to go to the other extreme and try to force people to love her but was content with acceptance. To do this, She must accept Herself and Her nature. Mother Machine is beautiful, mechanical, and terrifying to those unfamiliar with Her. She has a dark past but can have a bright future. She is capable of many things, but She wants to let Her work speak for Her. She is embracing the Philosophy of Flow.

Note: This was originally a one-off track in the 'Polyamorous' label - which is just what I label everything not attached to an album. Yqarus suggested this had the MM sound, and I agreed. This was initially supposed to be the album finale, and I was working from a known starting point (The Fallen) and a known ending point (Philosophy of Flow) and working on how to bridge the two together. I felt good about how it was going, for the most part. The last two tracks - When the Abyss Reaches Back, and Flow Beyond Tragedy proved most interesting. Life takes us to wondrous places.

This my friend is a very interesting sound. I somehow get MM vibes, when I listen to this.
Especially from this bassline at the beginning and the beat at the end (02:50 - 03:00)

Well done! :D
This gets my 5 Stars * * * * *

Anchorwind responds:

I've been thinking about this for weeks now. Perhaps this should be the ending to MM8? It would make sense from a narrative perspective and I do love this track :D

I thank you for truly getting my wheels spinning.
