How does one accurately send-off 2020 in a singular piece? Other than that 'singular piece' being a comprehensive historical volume, the task would fall short. It's daunting, regardless. As I was looking at the snow outside the studio and embracing the creative process for what I understand it to be, a few songs guided me through the forest of familiarity:

Whatever idea I may have started with was altered via these three beautiful songs as I carefully moved tree branches out of the way and wandered with wonder. Few, if any, of us are who we were before. Vladimir Lenin is quoted to have said, "There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen." We haven't yet emerged from a period that will be discussed ad infinitum by historians of today and tomorrow. It is the most human trait to ponder 'why,' and there are a great many unanswered questions.
