NGADM2019 (I hate MP3 compression)

I will finish this song soon when I have more time, I promise!

So, I have found a girl who I have fallen in love with, and we have spent a significant amount of time together. For this NGADM (if I even manage to make it past the first group stage) my submissions will consist of music that tells the story of a young couple who fall in love, and each round will tell a different part of their story. Of course, this is based on my own personal experiences with my new soulmate.

My next song will be much more dramatic, lovely, and moody; but I will continue a theme of excellence and give my work the focus to detail that has been expected of me.

For those of you who are curious, my girl's name is Abigail, or Abby for short. I've grown to love and trust her, and now is the best time for me to start writing emotional music lol.

This particular track is a bit more traditional and faithful to the classic orchestra, and I thought it would be good to start off with this style. My only regret is the amount of time I lack to work -- I barely was able to piece this one together and there is so much more I want to do with it, but it will have to wait for now. I hope you enjoy it even though it is a bit shorter than I planned; and before you say it -- yes, I know that I am known for my short songs. This time, however, I wanted to continue on!

This song tells the opening story of a young man who finally meets the girl of his dreams.

I like the rich and blissful texture. The instrumentation is great, and the melodies - while a bit simple - have a nice, bright flair to them. The production quality is also quite good, and it’s really a shame that you couldn’t finish this, because I can’t give you much credit for structuring or variety here. I like the slower pacing and horn solo at :39, abbreviated though it was, but the two distinct sections of the piece don’t feel well-connected yet, and the sudden transition at :29 doesn’t really suit the graceful, uplifting vibe of the piece. Overall, I look forward to hearing the finished product, and there’s no denying the quality of the mix and sound design here, but it also doesn’t really function as a structurally complete piece yet. Keep at it, Bosa! :)

Excellent work! Reminds me some of Thomas Bergersen's stuff on American Dream - albeit shorter :P Keen to see what this turns into!

Bosa responds:

Thank you. I actually talked to Thomas Bergersen not too long before I wrote this, our styles do in fact mesh every now and then.

man I am so insanely happy you are still composing and producing these works of art. Keep it up Bosa, never stop my man.

Bosa responds:

Oh my God, I can't believe it's you. I haven't heard from you in so long man, it's great to hear from you again. I plan to continue the tough work of music!

Been watching a lot of Anime movies from Studio Ghibli and others lately and this gives me some of those feels. Good stuff!

I imagine this transforming into a piano piece

Bosa responds:

Thank you, yes I gave that some thought as well; it's just too bad I didn't have enough time to do what I really wanted to do.

Really enjoying the orchestration here.
The way the orchestra extends and bubbles up in the intense moments really carries the pure joy and fulfillment in the concepts the the track is based off of.

Beautiful work!

Bosa responds:

Thank you!
