I like the eastern-sounding instruments at the beginning and the airy pads. The drums and bass at :12 are nice too, although I think the drums could’ve been a bit stronger in the mix. In fact, the mix as a whole here is pretty quiet. There’s also a tad too much reverb in the texture for my tastes. There are some sudden transitions in here, like at :36 and at :47. I’m also detecting hints of atonality in the texture at around :38. I like the flute solo at :59, and the middle section of this piece has a steady progression of melodic content that flits between a very diverse selection of instruments. My biggest problem with the piece is probably the lack of structural variety. The piece has a constant sense of energy and a lot of different syncopations, which gives the texture a full and rich feel that might need some shaking up sometime. A bridge or breakdown with more minimal, atmospheric content would help give this piece some shape. Still, I really like the fun, bouncy vibe of the piece and the sound design. It has an upbeat, jazzy feel and some strong melodic content, too. Keep at it, Trixelbit! :)
