Awesome as always. Love the sinister opening.
Aside from needing the vocals to stand out more, this is pretty damn good for an Eggman theme, fantastic!
Learning is fun. Even during the creation of this, at least the vocals are a little better than they were in the past. I've learned so much, and yet there's so much left to learn.
I love writing music
Thank you very much
I'mma give you the 5en because I can definitely tell a lot of good work into it and there is so much to like here. On Chron's note, I really like what you've done with the vocals but they would be so much better if they stood out more in the mix. Maybe making some room for those in the mixdown by spacing things out more in the stereo field would help here, as well as cutting out some room in the adjacent synths with EQ work? Either way, solid tune :)
The stereo field! Why didn't I think of that! I was trying to figure out how to make them stand out in separate left/right pans. It's pretty tough to figure out but I'm sure there's a way, I just have to keep discovering. That's the beauty of writing music is being able to explore and find new ways to tighten the pros. It's all a work in progress. I'll definitely keep this in mind for the future. Thank you Echoz!
ooh nice eggman intro :)
those wah wah sounds are very cool :)\\the main lead was cool but the stereo felt very odd with it, it also felt like it was drowning everything out - also you should avoid putting the vocals behind a synth like that and trying to have them compete - you should push the main synth behind the vocals - still I like the feel you were going for - I just feel the mastering is a bit of a mess.
I love the string arp around the 3:50 mark - but yeah you aren't filtering the vocals with the main lead so everything is just sorta bleeding into each other - if you sort your levels out though this could be a very kickass song though - atm it feels a bit cramped though.
I like the part around 5:20 as well too - I think the problem too is that your vocals aren't clear enough, which makes me suspect you don't have the best quality mic and are trying to mask bg noise with the song itself - your vocals need to be a mot more crisp and more forward in the mix and the rest of the song toned back a bit to allow them to breathe. That's my advice for you.
All things considering though a pretty solid track :)
Vocals are tough for sure. I really just wanted to focus on not deluding it out with reverb and echo to blend it better. I have been having problems with my mic as of late. I still need to figure out what settings are better to use for what parts. I was able to compress the vocals, but I feel like there could be more I haven't discovered yet. I'll find that muse sooner rather than later. I've got a feeling I know what to do for the next time
Much appreciated! Thank you for the review! And thank you for always being honest with me!
