This here is a tribute to celebrate 60 years of SEGA, and is published just in time. This song was created about seven months ago and kept secret for a very special occasion . . . on the last day of the year to celebrate what can possibly be called the 60th anniversary, so you can truly send it off in a way that "The Future Awaits".

The main reason I started this project in the first place was a discussion that took place, that made me realize that I need more original tracks in my repertoire. The point of how this was put together was to combine my personal adrenaline-pumping, fast-paced style, while staying true to the happy-sounding, upbeat fashion that many SEGA games are known for. A theme song of sorts. Something that makes you really look forward to what's next. This also explains some of the chord sequences, specifically closer towards loop-ends and crescendos.

You'll hear a lot of what we like to call "Easter Eggs" all throughout this piece. Most of the inspiration from this track came from many of the musicians that you hear in Sonic Games, such as Hyper Potions, Tee Lopes, Tomoya Ohtani and Jun Senoue. Even though my resources were limited for this one, as far as it goes, I was hoping to utilize a lot of my program's capabilities, get a little more used to the science of adding effects, and being more even and symmetrical with the sounds used.

This song took 11 days start to finish. I was heavily motivated and determined with this piece. I hope you all enjoy the fruits of hope and chasing dreams. A special thank you to every SEGA entity for 60 years of hard work, spreading entertainment and joy to the entire world. I hope this fortune of gratitude carries over for generations. Here's to the future!

Woah, it's amazing how your style is so... nostalgic, it really sounds like a Sonic song, great job Pauly!

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Interesting choice of wording, but I totally get ya. Fact of the matter is, my DAW, Cakewalk Kinetic, IS in fact a 16-bit program. There's just so much to explore and come up with different sounds. But a lot of these here are ones I've used for over a decade at this point. Combined with a happy, adrenaline pumping beat to make it sound Sonic style.

I'm so glad you like it! Thank you so much!

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

The beautiful thing about this particular piece is how shocked people are when I tell them it's actually an original piece. I definitely went for the Sonic-y feel and it seems like I CRUSHED it! Thank you so much for listening, and the review!
