The goal was to create a mellow, somewhat uplifting theme for an indie game. Its instruments are influenced by broken machinery as well as SNES and Sega Genesis games. The song employs both 6/8, 9/8, and 4/4 time signatures.

If FTL: Faster Than Light was a story about an adorable green boy looking for his space dog instead of the terrifying flight for your life that it is, then this would be the theme song :) Nicely done!
