it's impressive that you managed to tab the song out so accurately. this track has a lot of energy and dynamics going on thanks to the flourishes and tempo changes. it's cool to see our track transformed into something different for sure.
Metal remix of Ultramartyr's Honor. It probably sounds like shit.
Updated to v 0.01 as a quick fix. Previously was unmastered, and I felt like trying Emastered. Not awful.

Hey, it's a kickass track that deserved a kickass remix. I really like your lead writing, and I gotta say, the stems were a huge help in that regard. Normally I can't separate melody from harmony when I'm tabbing. After hearing the individual stems, I'd be stoked to work with ya on anything. :)
your mix here is pretty good
im not much for rock songs or anything but this was pretty catching for my ears
i think you just need to work on your bass mastering, the kick is layered with the bass and causing small amounts of muddiness, always good to avoid that
other than that, great song
love the chorus at 1:22
reminds me of command and conquer red alert 3's rock soundtrack
good job on this yo! keep it up
Yes this track is super muddy. I really need to go back and mix it over again. Thanks for the review!
Same issue I've had with other pieces of yours: the drums are just not cutting it!
The lead guitar parts (for example, 1:47 onwards) are way too loud too, at some parts.
Meanwhile (even being soundfonted guitars which sometimes sound awful), you make some parts sound AMAZING. The little rhythm part just before 1:47 comes to mind really strongly. Also the build-up before the 5 minute mark is great! You got some solid drum fills in there (shame the drums are barely there, I'd love to hear them more clearly!).
Even as much as I liked the original, their mix is completely lacking in mids and it's way too gainy. You dialed it down and managed to get the really nice melodies that are hidden in there, so big props on that!
So, all in all: another stellar job, hampered by you not having some good, natural sounding headphones to mix with...
Your critique is 100% apt. I think I'm gonna go over this in the next couple days, drop the leads down a couple dB, and see what I can torture those drums into.
The guitar VST I'm using is Kontakt Shreddage II, if you're interested. IBZ has a way better interface but it always crashes my machine or lags. The drums are Metal Foundry Bundle, and the bass is Ample Metal Ray 5. Keys are Nexus and Massive with some twisted presets I made.
This is epic! I have so much respect for your songs <3
Thanks. Glad you liked!
