Edit 2021: Long overdue revision, slight tweaks.
My entry for KVR One Synth Challenge 104. I decided to make good use of the sync function and go for stereotyped melodies from the past :D

In this contest, you can only use one synth (this month it's Zebralette), so everything from lead to kick drum is one separate instance of zebralette. FX use beside eq and comp must be sparse. No chorus, or heavy disto unless part of synth onboard effects.
While its not mandatory, I created every sound from init, its part of the fun, in my opinion.
Daw Ableton
~20 instances of U-He Zebralette.

Dont know if you create your drumsounds or prefer to use acoustic samples/loops (me it depends of the style im looking for), but stacking sine waves at different frequencies, using filtered noise and various envelopes to modulate everything go a long way for creating snare, kick, claps.
Stacking them with acoustic drums works too.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
