One of my favorite all time games, good gameplay and wonderful soundtrack. So cool, that I remixed the battle theme. I decided to raise the tensity by making it Drum N Bass and adding an assortment of orchestral instruments. This one was also a challenge, as I had to create a song with 5-count measures as opposed to the regular 4 or even more popular 3. I tried to make everything work perfect

The feel I wanted for this one was action, Action, ACTION!!! A fierce battle deserves a fierce theme, right? And I really tried to grab that cinematic feel like a wild car chase or a firefight. I watched a whole lot of my favorite TV series, 24, as I was making this. Turns out that sometimes it can produce good ideas. Who knew?

This one took a couple of attempts to make, over the course of about three months. I've been through 2 laptops for this one, which meant that once my first one got blue-screened, I had to start all over from scratch. Luckily, I've got good memory and could recreate exactly what I had before. I do hope you like this one. I worked so hard on it. And I've always wanted to do a FF remix so, here we go!

Please, honesty and integrity are key. Let me know what you liked, what you didn't like, etc. etc. Thank you

Alright so at first i thought that muted rapid highhat was preety cool but after a while it starts really draging out and getting a little annoying. also you dont have enough dynamic variation in you drums and other sounds a lot of it sounds like you have it on fixed velocities which makes it sound pretty dead. also the swooshy lead with the longer attack time is not really my favorite. you could have used something that sounds more like the strings from the original. and everything sounds pretty standard midi tracky. so you could have put a little more life into everything imho.

so overall quite solid but you should work on your sound design skills. I hope i didnt upset you with my sort of critical review. happy music making! :)

I'm happy to have a critical review like this. Honestly, others have said in the past that my music sounded dead and I never understood what that meant. So what you're saying is that more variety and velocity adjustments will make a big difference. I can see that . . . Paying attention to details.

Thank you so much for the review. Seriously. I think this is gonna help

Wow ... This is really good.
I like this atmosphere very much!
I am ashamed to speak with my ability,
.. but! The sound of the drum is too loud and the melody is buried.

Volume adjustment is hard. I felt like louder drums would cause that super dramatic feel I was going for. I'll get it down eventually lol

Thank you very much

Very great intro has that kind of scary vibe...
Drums are well organized, smooth transitions..
Everything in the mix is well suited they fit well with each other
Great job bro!!!
