Oh thanks! You are probably not going to want to hear this but I actually haven't listened to much to be honest. I have been making these songs for a video game and actually have just been listening to random mixes I find on YouTube for inspiration. I was of course aware of synthwave for years now but it's not actually a genre I have listened much to outside what I've heard in video games like Hotline Miami or Neurovoider. I do listen to some chillwave stuff though, like Toro Y Moi and Washed Out. I like the sound of synthwave but like with most EDM I kinda despise the rigid structure and format.
