I like this, it really draws you in! The reverb on the guitar is a great intro. Makes me think of an urban detective type game, maybe set in the 40s or 50s. Or an art heist game! Very sophisticated.
I focused a little more on sound on this song. Rather than having a very dynamic melody (at least in the beginning), I used some cool sounding effects, something I haven't really done before.
I also wanted to practice with chords that aren't triads. My limited music theory knowledge has kept me from purposely using any harmonic tension, so I think I made some decent progress on that
I think the mixing is decent in this, and a solution to something I was trying to do randomly popped into my head just as I was about to export this. That was to send the bass to another channel and cut out all the frequencies except for the pick noise and pan it. It really brought out the bass without having to make it louder, something I noticed on slap bass in other songs

Those are some neat ideas. Saxes always remind me of LA Noire which is pretty much what you described. While not as smooth as the music in that game, I thought the juxtaposition between a smooth sax melody and distorted drums would be interesting.
