EDIT: Did some big changes with the piano sound. Still not 100% happy with it so I'll have to keep working on it, but it's certainly better now!

UPDATE: I have a new track up here on NG called 'The Quest'. Go check it out!

inhale exhale.... oh yeah.. those shivers of calmness

This song really calmed me down when I was feeling super stressed. Thanks. :)

The piano melodies sound very forced and lack velocity variation. I still enjoy the melodies, although I wish they became more complex, and I love the atmosphere you created with the strings. I don't know if this is just my headphones, but I hear minor clipping. Overall, I like the song and it was relaxing.

Stadler responds:

I agree with you. Unfortunately I've yet to create a good piano sound. It could be the poor VST I'm using (some stock sound from Cubase), among other things. I obviously don't play real piano, haha. (Although I'm learning it!)

I've been messing around with EQ and just could not find a good way to stop that loud annoying frequency, which I believe is causing clipping as well. I love writing stuff like this but lately I've been staying away from piano for these very reasons.

Actually I almost always use plenty of variation on the velocities, even on this song. But this particular VST doesn't work well at all. It just adjusts volume. Dumb.

It's been my main intention to come back and remake these songs when I have a more legitimate studio setup. Right now I'm working with a $200 pile of a laptop so there will be many improvements when the time comes!

Anyways, thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Really really really really good! The strings are beautiful. Good Job!

Stadler responds:

I appreciate that. Thank you!

Dude this is amazing! Why haven't I heard this yet.. Oh wait..its cause I didn't fan you. Well I just fixed that.

So freaking good! Truly inspiring!

Stadler responds:

Thank you, that's awesome to hear! Much appreciated.
