Sky's the Limit

This song is about flight. Imagine yourself situated at the peak of a hill, looking up in the vast blueness of the morning sky, the sun's brilliant, dazzling rays illuminating the horizon, giving the white clouds a glistening tint. You're filled with uncertainty as you try to swallow the enormity of your surroundings, but eventually you take the plunge, spread your wings and embark on what will be your first ever flight.

First time writing a scene for a song of mine. Wanted to remove some of the rust I have of writing descriptively haha. More importantly, this is for an upcoming physics platformer/puzzle game - the same game I made "The Festival" for - http://goo.gl/K3THSR. That one was supposed to follow the theme "Medieval/Grassland", and this one follows the theme "Sky". It isn't very long and I tried to follow the same compositional structure as the medieval track, so if you heard that you'll notice similarities!

This uses Omnisphere for everything except the piano which is East/West, sweep which is basic white noise filtering, and the drums/effects which are from Vengeance.

Thanks goes to Darrenkerwin, snuitergup, camoshark, stunkel and Echo for giving me all the feedback a guy could ask for! Also, this is inspired by johnfn's track "Biohome"! Check it out:

Thanks for listening, feedback would be awesome!

EDIT - Fixed some issues! Should be the final version now.

This song is...amazing. I want to use it now...if I had something fitting to use it in.

Great job on the song, Step. Don't ever stop making music.

Minus .5 because it was too short for how awesome it was. Someone needs to make an extended version.

Step responds:

Thanks for the boost in self-confidence! I'm glad you like this.

Every time a revisit your profile, I've got a surprise. This time, it was this song. <3

Step responds:

Aw shucks. Thank you! Glad you liked it. c:

It's good. That's it.

Step responds:

Why thank you.

This is great!!! I love the ending and how you looped it! Would it be okay if I used this in some of my cartoons? I would give you full credit of course!

Step responds:

Hey! I'm actually pretty surprised you like the ending and the loop here because I was a bit lazy when making them haha. Still, glad you like it.

Definitely feel free to use this in your animations.

Holy hell, this is amazing, I love the way this sounds. Oh jeez.

Seriously, the way the piano melts into the lead around 1:08, and when the lead transitions around 1:25, purely euphoric.

I hope one day I'll make something as beautiful as this, you have inspired me good sir, please don't ever stop making music.
