It's been a while since I've done a video game music cover, and Frog's Theme from Chrono Trigger is one that I've always wanted to tackle. The first part should sound familiar enough, but the second time through is pure piano, hopefully making this piece stand out from the dozens (or possibly hundreds) of cover versions that already exist.
I personally feel like I've done this amazingly classic song justice, but what do you think? Is it suitably epic? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks! You certainly may, but only if it's a noncommercial game since this is a cover theme from a preexisting game.
A real treat to the ears, I really like the original song, but this is far better in comparison.

Yeah I am with you on this one it does do the original justice. You should consider expanding this one a little it feels short and could use a bit more length on it but it holds it's own for sure.

Thanks, Corpsecrank! With these classic VG tunes there are always opportunities to revisit them and expand upon them in the future. The piece itself is quite short at a little over a minute and a half, but it's a seamless loop, so if you just keep right on listening it can be as long as you want! Is that cheating? xD
I love Frog's Theme and have downloaded pretty much every remix and cover that I've come across and this one will be added to my library as well! It sounds good and great arrangement, I personally would have added some well placed trumpets/horns/brass in the later stages of the orchestral section to give it some 'oomph' before fading to the piano but that's just personal preference, it's great as is :)

Adding little bursts of brass in the latter sections was always a consideration, so I may decide to do just that when I have some time. Many thanks for the review! I thought you might like it, and as a fellow fan of the music of Chrono Trigger (Frog's Theme in particular), that makes you something of an expert in my book. :)
