i find that i personally like this quite a lot. it isnt overly bombastic yet still has that driving feel of the original. also im a huge fan of violin and piano so the piano section was a great treat to me.

The instrument selections and overall level of presence feel just right to me, but it's extremely helpful to receive such feedback from an objective listener. Sometimes striking that perfect balance becomes all the more difficult when you're so close to the music, and it's impossible to not be at least a little bit biased. I love Frog's Theme and have downloaded pretty much every remix and cover that I've come across and this one will be added to my library as well! It sounds good and great arrangement, I personally would have added some well placed trumpets/horns/brass in the later stages of the orchestral section to give it some 'oomph' before fading to the piano but that's just personal preference, it's great as is :)

Adding little bursts of brass in the latter sections was always a consideration, so I may decide to do just that when I have some time. Many thanks for the review! I thought you might like it, and as a fellow fan of the music of Chrono Trigger (Frog's Theme in particular), that makes you something of an expert in my book. :)
Yeah I am with you on this one it does do the original justice. You should consider expanding this one a little it feels short and could use a bit more length on it but it holds it's own for sure.

Thanks, Corpsecrank! With these classic VG tunes there are always opportunities to revisit them and expand upon them in the future. The piece itself is quite short at a little over a minute and a half, but it's a seamless loop, so if you just keep right on listening it can be as long as you want! Is that cheating? xD
