The main thing about this song is that it utilizes techniques that I had never used previously. After listening to a whole bunch of film scores, I had the urge to compose something of unimaginable epicness and terror.

As always, this song was done with nothing but free samples and soundfonts, most notably the following:

Squidfont Orchestral (soundfont)
Sinfonia (soundfont)
Papelmedia (soundfonts)
*Trumpet
*Trombone
*Choir
*Strings
*Tremolo Strings
Roland Orchestral Rhythm (soundfont)
Miroslav Philharmonic Demo (Vst)

The songs I listened to for inspiration include:

"A screaming comes across the sky" by David Heuser
This is a truly kickass song. I recommend you listen to it if you're into old-fashioned-sounding songs that are truly terrifying.

"Assimilation" by unknown composer
I found it on the symphobia website. Whoever the composer for it is though, is a pretty damn good composer.

"Morning Adventure" by Danman87
You should know who this is. One of the best damn composers on Newgrounds!

"Lineage II: Battle" by Bill Brown
Power to the max, nuff said.

"The Journey Within" by Gravey1
Something about this song is fucking amazing. But yeah, I was blasting this when I was in the composing mode.

"Redemption" by NickPerrin
The orchestral builds on this and the chord control are enviable. A completely unbelievable song.

That completes that list. Now the list of people who helped me out specifically for this song:
SessileNomad
Gravey1
Brokendeck
SymbolCymbal

That completes this massive comment section. I would really appreciate it if you guys reviewed, downloaded, or favorited this song.

Truly a masterpiece.

This is a great piece, one of my favorites, it keeps me latched on my computer chair, and it's doing a great job on being terrifying, my favorite is around 1:20, 2:50

blackattackbitch responds:

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Thanks for the review, the second section you mentioned is actually one of my favorites too hahaha

EPIC

A very beautiful composition. this painted so many images in my mind all in that 4:20 time period that I couldn't list them all here, but themain theme was simply this: climactic.

blackattackbitch responds:

Thanks for the review, I'm glad it was inspiring. I never would have thought of this song as climactic, except for the finish though, as it's probably the most climactic finish I've ever done.

Thanks again.

You wanted epic and you got it!

Man, from the first WIP tune of this to now is such a change!

I loved it, it really is something you would expect to hear is a top budget movie!

Thanks for letting me know you completed this as i am glad i got to listen to it.

I am not very familiar with classical songs and cant give you any advice but to me it sounded perfect!

Good Job!

blackattackbitch responds:

After the first WIP, I just had the random idea of scrapping the whole original song and redoing it from scratch, all I really kept was the main theme.

Thanks for checking it out and leaving a review! You don't have to give advice, just knowing that you enjoyed it is good enough for me.

Cool...

The song is really evil.
Makes me feel like someone is desperately running for his life in hell.
Like the nightmare won't end forever.
I kind of like the chorus, it has a weird sense of creepy feeling.....
Keep up the great work!

blackattackbitch responds:

Thanks, that's the overall feeling I was going for.

And thanks for the review!

Oh wow... lucky me.

I just by chance log in to newgrounds and check out your latest submissions... guess this one was today. Coolio.

You probably don't remember me at all but I have to say I appreciate your past comments and enjoy your music.
