I spread out a blank page of the map,

No names, no stage in sight;

My steps follow the wind’s direction,

Singing a song never written down.

Crossing the borders of lost kingdoms,

Thorns crawl over broken stone steps;

Beneath the ancient tower, I sing,

For echoes asleep for a hundred years.

No audience, no applause,

Only the wind answers my dream.

If anyone remembers anything in the end,

It still won’t be me.

How many realms have I wandered through?

Yet my song has never ceased.

A lonely poem drifting in the wind

Who will ever hear it?

But even if I sing only to the silence,

Then at least I haven’t lived in vain.

The road signs rot beneath the moss,

The stars light the path of my journey;

My boots tread through slumbering forests,

My voice like fire in the dim glow.

Under the tent, an old lamp flickers,

Yellowed pages quietly record my tale;

I’ll hide my dreams within my song,

Following the snowline toward the highlands.
