At 146 tracks, this is my biggest track ever, Unfortunately I wasn't able to properly finish the last part of the song due to time constraints, since I had to start this late in, However this was still really fun and gave me a lot of insights for the future in my music, Thanks for listening!

I like the ominous mood at the beginning and the thunderstorm sound effects. I like the filtering on the drums at :23 and the gradual build-up into :44. The drop at :44 is a bit minimal, and the mix is very bottom-heavy. It’s hard to make out the atmospheric elements there, although the chopped vocals at 1:05 are cool. The breakdown at 1:48 was a nice change-of-pace, but also didn’t add much in the way of novel harmonic content. The pattern of rhythmic emphasis at 2:11 is really wonky, and it took me a couple of listens for it to not be jarring. At some point, I would’ve liked to hear some more memorable melodies or otherwise more variety in the composition. The atmosphere and sound design here are really good, but the arrangement could feel looser and more dynamic. Still, this is a seriously catchy track with some fun instrumentation. Thanks for coming out to the NGUAC, Kz-N! ^_^

thanks a lot for your thorough review, i honestly agree with everything you said, except for 2:11 being jarring? im not sure what to make of that honestly but i will definetely work on it in the future, it was a pleasure being in!

28 seconds in that downlifter or static sample is a bit high in the mix for me, but once you hit the drop, everything sits really nice in its place. I still might take it down a little but this tells me that it's got to be the master compression doing levels a little dirty. Under time constraints I definitely understand a little rough around the edges.

Great bass design. I probably would not stereo spread out your basses so low in the register. Generally 120 hz is where I cut off due to phasing issues that chorus and widening causes.

The switch at 2:17 is beautifully executed and that sound design is quite interesting.

How many basses did you layer on the drop?

Kz-N responds:

on both drops there are 6 unique basses, although it honestly mostly sounds like 3 or 4 because most of the time theyre stacked, also im not sure if maybe its an mp3 encoding issue but i everything <=115hz should be mono, but anyway thank you very much for your feedback, i really appreciate it!

Absolute banger, that switch at 2:11 was hella clean. Loved every part of this.

Kz-N responds:

ty!!!

Woah, that intro. Very pleasantly bold! As a listener, I'm not really so well versed in DnB, but it sounds as good as any other good DnB songs I've heard. Maybe it's a slight bit repetitive for me, but I feel like that could also be a feature of the genre, so that could just be down to personal taste. The change-up at 2:11 is really nice though, and that rhythm is really satisfying. Good luck in the NGUAC!

Kz-N responds:

thanks!!

drop sounds very cool! ^^
