This band is the brainchild of my dear friend and guitarist, Joe. Staves sound has been called many things by others. Bleak-Prog, Post-Sludge, Doom, Post-Black Metal, etc. In our 7 years of playing shows we only ever recorded once and that was near the end of our journey together (2018). There are no vocals in these recordings and that's unfortunate because the lyrical content is very dark and deep. We wanted a natural/rough sound from a multi track recording. It fit our style and what we were doing. We never really chased the dream or cared much of getting "known" but we could play a hell of a show!

Shout out to Josh K. for recording us at his music studio. He is a phenomenal musician, teacher, and long time friend. Recently he brought to my attention that he still had the recordings. He sent them my way and I mixed them a bit. There are 5 more recordings (definitely not all our material) and we might do some mastering with vocals down the road. Who knows!
