Fig 2600: Meet DAT4CYN. They're simply looking out the window, pondering what may exist out there...
I introduce you to DAT4CYN, my ambience-like style! They've already appeared once before in the Two-side jam competition, and in fact you can say they were born from that purely by accident... but from accidents, may come gold? I swear there was a saying like that somewhere idk.
So what is DAT4CYN like? What does that even stand for? Who knows? The name was partially inspired by an earphone company Cresyn, which I would get mediocre, but cheap and jank-looking earphones from. They were great while they lasted, though I wouldn't go back to them now that my ears were blessed with the Koss KSC75s. And you may have guessed the DAT4 part makes it sound like a robot name, which is what DAT4CYN is. Basic story goes, DAT4CYN was released into an abandoned space station, and through their venture they stumble across emotions and such... or something like that.
I completed this track a while back but never got around publishing it, mostly because I wanted to do so many minor tweaks. I even had a thought of turning this into a loop to better match my more recent decisions to become a loop-exclusive artist, but I forced myself to put the phone down and export the thing. Besides, looping an echo-y reverb-y track is a nightmare.
One thing I might do for future DAT4CYN tracks though is try out Adobe Audition and use the awesome reverb effects there to make it more... space-y. Who knows? This is a style I haven't explored much yet, and Miss Weracidog is getting impatient.
But that's all that's there to say for now, so I'll catcha later!
p.s. The "eyes" are actually on their nose as a form of a lens, with an intake/speaker around the lens for smelling/speaking. There's also a silent fan inside to blow in air to cool their "brain"
p.p.s. [TYPE} cancelled, I'm going to make a new album soon!
