I agree with GRMusic, it does sound pretty European. That's not a bad thing though. the song sounds great. The only thing I can think of is the beginning melody being very soft when compared to everything else. This song in general sounds very happy and I really like it. It's nice watching you branch out into different styles with your more recent songs.

A little background: this song was started just hours after the release of Wyoming, before it blew up. I wanted to create another North Carolina/Kansas situation with sister songs again, but given that this song came out 2.5 weeks later that didn’t come to fruition. The problem is I finished the first half quickly, but then Wyoming exploded out of nowhere. While I did love the support I was getting on it, and just put it in for NGUAC, it put a lot of stress on me since I subconsciously knew there was no way my next song could surpass what it achieved. As a result I took a small hiatus and then came up with this slowly. It is probably the track I spent the most time on out of all my songs, and I see it as a mashup between 2 different styles with the same melody in one song. It’s fusion since it’s a fusion of jazz and regular trance/techno.
Anyways, this track was originally called New Mexico, but after some feedback it was promptly changed to Idaho. Idaho was chosen as its replacement name because of its sprawling potato industry, which is distinctly Irish, a European country (probably a stretch but it works still imo). Enjoy!
P.S. yes having the classic pattern of hi hats and jazzy chords makes it half a jazz song, no doubt about it

It’s hard to make my songs as loud as I want to because if I do, the bass drum ALWAYS distorts and it sounds terrible. Otherwise I think the audio balance in the intro would be better. Alternatively I could have reduced the volume of the super saws to make up for it but then I thought it would be too quiet. It’s a hard balance to strike.
If I'm honest, I sound more like a European haha, it didn't remind me of something Mexican, but sounds great! Pretty cool uwu.
