Who doesn't love a bit of good ol' Classic Doom? Well, I don't really. I thought the first game was kinda boring, but that's beside the point.
The namesake of this song comes from a hidden level in Doom: The Plutonia Experiment. The level, titled 'GO 2 IT,' was infamous for being ridiculously hard. I think it's still considered the hardest level of the official Doom games, matter of fact. Why the name? Just because I thought it was a good song title.
The main riff heard throughout the song I came up with a long time ago but never really put to use until now, mainly because I couldn't find a way to make it sound as intended. The 'guitar' sound was basically built around looping the riff and turning knobs in Vital until something clicked. I wanted to get as close as possible to the guitar synth sound that Master Boot Record uses in his stuff. Hell, I'd sell my soul to be able to recreate that sound.
Shoutout to SpaghettiWave (not on NG) for explicitly telling me what parts of the song sucked so I could fix them.
The CD image is the COMP2 texture.
