For the longest time I've searched YouTube looking for epic versions of the Gravity Falls intro, but I could never find something that I thoroughly enjoyed. Sure there were some badass metal covers and a few neat orchestral pieces, but if "EPIC" is in the title I expect a rush unlike any other. Give me something with a little umph and chutzpah, yaknow?

Well, that's where this remake comes in. I figured that if I couldn't find what I was looking for I'd just make it myself. Hopefully you can enjoy this cover as much as I do.

I actually emailed Brad Breeck (the composer of the intro) an earlier version of this cover a year ago and he messaged me back saying he liked it. I think it's cool that the great wide internet can connect somebody like me with a tv-show composer.

I may attempt another cover of this song again once I’ve learned more, because I’m always fascinated by this theme. It never gets old for me, and it’s very fun to work with.

Edit: I did some touching up to this song in Ozone 9 and it added more breath into the track.
