I was cycling home through Hyde Park after a product launch I helped make a website for (I was still making websites at this point), when about 8-10 kids ran out from the darkness of the park and pushed me off my BMX. I was standing to pedal at the time, so I went straight over the handlebars breaking my fall with my chin. I was so rushed with adrenaline as I was being mugged, I quickly got up to find one of the kids on my bike trying to pedal it into the grass, but they were flung off as the coaster brake took them by surprise (roll the pedals back and it'll lock the wheel), so he ditched it and ran. Another was thumbing through my bag (which had my laptop in it) but since the majority of the gang had fled anyway, the two stragglers trying to steal my shit also fled.

I was pretty shaken at this point. Had a little breather, hoping someone would walk by or see something, but no one did, so I got on my bike and rode out the park. Everyone was shooting me some funny looks as I rode out of the park. I stopped and remembered how I landed back in the park and my chin was gushing blood. It was cut open like a second mouth, it was hanging and pouring blood everywhere, my clothes were covered. 10 stitches in the chin.
