My new short film FUTURE OF… will debut at Burning Man festival this year at the Bad Asstronauts camp. I'll be there (probably the only British guy there), come say hi and hang out.

The new film is 1 of 3 stories about animals in revolt against humans; Stories about the sea, the land and the air. I'm releasing the first story, but will release the other two stories together once ready. Hopefully end of 2024/mid-2025. I will eventually put the first story up here once it's had its runs at festivals, so hopefully October/November time.

This here is the soundtrack demo for this piece, originally composed in 2007, I didn't have a purpose for it at the time and it was used in a weird mixed media video for uni (I was testing compositing in After Effects/Moho at the time).

In 2009, I started on this project after leaving university and on a high from the mild success of my graduation film "She Farted And Created The World". At the time, this project was called "A Modern Evolution of Whale", I rerecorded the soundtrack making it more orchestral/modern classical vibe, and the animation style reflected my ability to do 2D cutout animation style at the time. Sadly (or thankfully) I lost the entire project in THE GREAT HARD DRIVE CRASH OF 2010. Upon reflection, I wasn't happy with the animation, I was compromising to fit the rigid style I could only do at the time.

The project haunted me for over a decade, but I'm glad I had the time away from the project to work on my storytelling skills, so when I eventually came back to this project last year I had better ideas and purpose.

Make it again, but better.
