2011: I bought myself a tiny, old school, early 90s BMX (THRUSTER® TRI-POWER PRO XL what a name!) for getting around London. Great, except London is on a slope no matter how you spin in. I lived up a fucking hill, so WEE downhill, then up a never ending gentle incline the rest of the way… Then on my way home it's a brutal hill climb on a 24" wheel single speed bike. I'm a muppet.
