All Sundays in Lent don't actually count for the 40 days, but I did it on the Sunday (21 Feb) -- the prompt actually applies for Monday (22 Feb). If you're wondering what this is, my fiancé and I compiled a list of prompts for me to compose a short thing to each day during the 40 days of Lent, and this one's prompt is "light."
The original loop, freefalling, was a short title loop that never got used, so I decided to upscale it. To my knowledge, Eden, the game this was initially meant for, never got made, at least not yet. Until I know more either way, let me at least let this loop shine, let it be given the light it deserves.
I imagined someone freefalling into a sea of light, very afraid for their life -- only to find that the sea of light would sustain them and they would have nothing to be afraid of anymore.

Oh wow, it really does feel like free falling.
Very calming, and very beautiful. I love the slow development of all the instruments and melodies into this song, and the very lighthearted theme. The gated noise throughout the piece really carries you through the whole song; it's familiar and almost guiding in a way while the rest of the melody develops further. The homophony in the melodies is also great, the main melody is always supported by all these other beautiful voices, it really sounds full and spacious at the same time! This is amazing and beautiful work, keep it up :)
