AMAZING!!! 🤯
This is my submission for the Newgrounds Video Game Music Challenge in the group "The Forgotten Journey".
I had a lot of fun making this, it is my most ambitious orchestral track yet and having a vision and a deadline certainly helped motivate me to finish it.
My approach was to create a medley of several themes that represent the journey of the hero.
---
Sections of the track:
0:00 - A Hero's Journey
In this game, we play a hero that leads a humble life, when we learn that only we can save the world. We accept our fate and prepare to go on a long journey to defeat evil.
1:30 - Departure
We must say goodbye to our home town and friends.
2:03 - The Journey Begins
Uncertain about what is going to happen on our journey, we travel towards our destination, growing more and more confident with every step we take.
3:08 - Forgotten Lands
We travel through magical forests, over snow covered mountains and other lands that nobody has set foot in for a long time.
3:46 - Intermezzo
4:25 - Look Behind You
Enemies may always be near as we get closer to the source of the evil that we have to fight.
5:06 - March of the Lone Warrior
Having traveled a long way already, we are determined to finish our journey and put an end to all evil.
5:54 - A Hero's Journey (Reprise)
We have grown stronger on our journey, but our biggest challenges lie still ahead. What could still happen on the way? Will we emerge victorious?
You can find out by playing "The Forgotten Journey" ;)

AMAZING!!! 🤯
I love this. The composition is beautiful and the different sections flow so well together. You really went above and beyond for this challenge so awesome job.
Wow this is really well done! You don't even need an orchestra to perform this as it sounds almost perfectly realistic already. I think the themes really match and perform the message of each part, and the composition as a whole really highlights 'The Forgotten Journey' as a holistic representation of an idea, and as a choice to score a game. I'm in awe at this, congratulations on such an amazing score. Also a nice use of 5/4 ;)

Thanks! I used Afflatus Chapter I: Strings by Strezov Sampling for almost all of the strings. I've written some more details in the track comments.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
