Lord Shingle is the self-proclaimed Lord of Thieves in the Netherrealm. Unlike most netherfiend, he was not a spontaneous spawn of life energies, but a byproduct of it. While others form without rhyme or reason in the ocean of the perished life god's blood, Shingle is an otherwise inanimate piece of torn clothing that drifted into it, and became animated.

He is extremely entitled and shows no regard for his own safety, his ego too huge to crush or intimidate. He lacks the bite to back up his bark, however, always attempting to punch above his weight and not realizing he simply can't. Lord Shingle, due to being torn, is only just over 2 feet tall "standing", adding to his comically small stature when combined with his arrogance and booming voice. 

Lord Shingle has the ability to conjure arcane hands from a reserve of life energy, which he can utilize to perform day to day activities without issue. They cannot travel too far from him, and are limited by his magical reserve. He can use more of the reserve to create fewer larger hands if he so desires, known to squeeze people in colossal clenched fists when at the limit of his short patience.
